Rahiz

Rahiz is a dynamic Cape Verdean artist born in Portugal, known for his eclectic contributions to the urban music scene. He began his career in hip hop in 1994 and has collaborated with numerous renowned artists both in Portugal and internationally. His song "Um sonho" earned a nomination for Best Reggae at the Cabo Verde Music Awards in 2012, and he made headlines in 2016 when he became the first Lusophone hip-hop artist to win the Best African Hip-Hop Artist award at the African Entertainment Awards USA. In 2022, he was recognized as one of the 100 most influential figures in the Lusophone world by the Powerlist100 of Bantumen. Rahiz recently gained attention for his album "Covers in Capeverdean di Rahiz," which features unique interpretations of popular songs, showcasing the beauty of the Cape Verdean language and culture.
