Raihan Alam

Raihan Alam is an emerging mango farmer from the Sapahar upazila in Naogaon, Bangladesh, known for cultivating the new Guava variety of mango, Gourdmati, on 30 bighas of land, alongside Bari Mango-4 on another 10 bighas. In the previous season, he achieved a yield of 250 monds of Gourdmati mangoes and 120 monds of Bari Mango-4. His farming practices highlight the increasing popularity of newly developed mango varieties in the region, as approximately 60% of commercial orchards in Naogaon are dedicated to mango cultivation, specifically the Amrapali variety, followed by Langra and Nakfajli.
