
Raj Singh
Raj Singh was a member of the former royal family of Dungarpur in Rajasthan, India. He was the son of Maharawal Lakshman Singh Ji and a passionate cricketer who played for Rajasthan and Central Zone in the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy from 1955 to 1971. Singh served as a manager for the Indian cricket team during various tours and held the position of president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) twice in the 1990s. He was known for his deep affection for the legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, with whom he shared a long romantic relationship, although they could not marry due to familial opposition. Their love story, which began in the 1960s through mutual connections, highlights the challenges they faced from their respective families regarding their union.
