Rajendra Prasad Shukla

Rajendra Prasad Shukla was a prominent Indian politician who served as the first Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly from 2000 to 2003. He was a member of the Indian National Congress and represented the Kota assembly constituency. His political career was marked by his contributions to the establishment of Chhattisgarh as a separate state and he played a significant role in its legislative framework. Shukla's death in 2006 following a heart operation has recently come under scrutiny due to allegations surrounding the qualifications of the doctor who performed the surgery.
