Rama VII
Rama VII, or King Prajadhipok, was the seventh monarch of the Chakri dynasty, reigning from 1925 until his abdication in 1935. He is known for his efforts in modernizing Thailand and navigating the challenges of a rapidly changing political landscape, including the transition to constitutional monarchy. His reign saw significant social and economic reforms, but faced criticism and opposition from various political factions. After abdicating the throne, he lived in exile and returned to Thailand only for brief visits until his death in 1941.
