Ramesh Manickam

Ramesh Manickam is a 33-year-old shop assistant and skilled-visa holder from Tamil Nadu, India, who has lived and worked in Little India, Singapore, for a decade. He arrived two years after the 2013 riots involving migrant workers and has observed changes in the community's understanding of migrant issues. While he has heard of discrimination from other workers, he personally has not experienced it, and he believes that Singapore offers a better environment for migrant workers compared to other countries.
