Ramón Rosario was a devoted father and a man of many trades, including being a shoemaker and caretaker of a cemetery, who worked tirelessly to support his large family of 14 children in the Dominican Republic during a time of economic hardship. His commitment to his family's happiness and his encouragement of their artistic aspirations laid the foundation for the success of the renowned merengue orchestra, Los Hermanos Rosario.
