Rana Taha is the newly appointed United Nations Resident Coordinator in Tunisia, having officially presented her letter of appointment to the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs on June 19, 2025. With over 20 years of experience within the UN, she has held significant roles in development and peacekeeping, including serving as a senior advisor for peace and development in Kenya prior to her current position. Taha has also worked in various capacities at the UN headquarters and in several countries, including Lebanon, Sudan, and the occupied Palestinian territories. She holds degrees in international relations, public policy, and sociology, and is a dedicated mother and wife.
