Randy Carter
Randy Carter was a high school student in San Diego who participated in the ill-fated A-TEAM initiative in 1965, where he and his peers were recruited to work as agricultural laborers in California. The program, intended to fill labor shortages after the Bracero Program ended, quickly became a disaster, exposing the harsh realities faced by young workers in extreme conditions. Carter later became a successful assistant director in Hollywood and reflected on this formative experience in his autobiographical film 'Boy Wonders'.
