Rangoato Hlasane is an influential South African artist and educator known for his work in reimagining independent publishing as a de-colonial tool. Born in Polokwane in 1981, he co-founded the Keleketla! Library and has played a pivotal role in inspiring students at the Wits School of Arts to use print culture for self-authorship and social change. His academic focus includes exploring the visual narratives of Black youth, and his teaching is deeply influenced by the Medu Art Ensemble's legacy of using print as a means of resistance during apartheid.
