Raphael Ushie

Raphael Ushie was a Chief Inspector of the Nigeria Immigration Service who tragically lost his life in 2019 after participating in a protest against the demolition of his family's palm plantation for the construction of the Obudu International Airport project. His death was linked to the stress and health complications he faced during the protest, which highlighted the struggles of local communities against government policies that adversely affected their livelihoods.
