Ratna Mohini

Ratna Mohini was a Javanese dancer and writer, born into a noble family in Banten, Indonesia. She studied arts in France, where she met and later married the renowned French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. Known for her cheerful disposition and sociable nature, Ratna played a significant role in her husband's artistic journey, assisting him in documenting Indonesia's fight for independence and engaging with key political figures of the time, including Sukarno.
