Rauna is an educator and artist who contributed to the Tūranga Tangata Rite school project by creating carvings of ancestors for the building. His work, along with that of his students at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa’s Gisborne campus, plays a significant role in honoring the cultural heritage of the local iwi.
