Raymond Gavoty

Raymond Gavoty was a French politician and agricultural advocate, serving as a deputy from Var from 1919 to 1924. He was known for his passionate defense of local farmers, particularly during the 1920s when he warned against the impact of U.S. tariffs on French agricultural exports. He was also the president of the agricultural unions of Alpes de Provence and part of a long line of Gavoty farmers deeply rooted in the region's viticulture.
