Rehina Chartjenko

Rehina Chartjenko, born in 1990 in Crimea, is the current mayor of Zaporizjzja, having taken office in April 2024. She previously served as a member of the local council and has a background as a lawyer, working in public administration and private practice. Chartjenko is notable for being Zaporizjzja's first female mayor and has been handpicked by Governor Ivan Fedorov during a critical period of political restructuring amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
