Reijo Muuri

Reijo Muuri is a Finnish police officer known for his innovative approach to community policing. In the 1990s, he gained recognition for his efforts to transform Karhupuisto, a notorious park in Kallio, Helsinki, which was often associated with crime and anti-social behavior. Drawing inspiration from methods observed in the Netherlands, Muuri implemented strategies that helped change the park's reputation from a dangerous gathering place to a more welcoming community space.
