Reinhard Steurer

Reinhard Steurer is a professor of climate policy at BOKU Vienna and an expert on the implications of climate change on mountainous regions. He has recently gained attention for his warnings regarding the increasing instability of inhabited alpine areas due to the destabilization of permafrost and the rising frequency of natural disasters, such as the recent glacier collapse in Blatten, Switzerland.
