Remberto Uzcátegui Bruzual was a prominent figure in Venezuelan intelligence, having served as the director of the Dirección de los Servicios de Inteligencia y Prevención (Disip) during two separate terms. He played a significant role in modernizing the agency, transforming it into a professional institution recognized internationally for its training programs in collaboration with agencies like the FBI and CIA.
