Renars
Renars is a fictional character from the Latvian miniseries 'Soviet Jeans,' set in the late 1970s during the Soviet regime. He is portrayed as a passionate rock enthusiast who, after being committed to a psychiatric hospital for political reasons, starts producing counterfeit Levi's jeans with fellow patients. Through this illegal venture, Renars not only seeks to defy the oppressive norms of the regime but also aims to carve out a small space of freedom in a censored society.
