Rhea Silvia is a figure from Roman mythology, known as the mother of the legendary twins Romulus and Remus. According to the myth, she was a Vestal Virgin and the daughter of King Numitor of Alba Longa. She was impregnated by the god Mars, which led to her giving birth to the twins, who were subsequently abandoned and later raised by a she-wolf.
