Rhodora Alcaraz is a Filipino domestic worker who gained international attention for her courageous act of shielding a three-month-old baby from flames and toxic smoke during a devastating apartment fire in Hong Kong's Wang Fuk Court. Having just arrived in Hong Kong to work days before the incident, Alcaraz was found by firefighters clutching the infant in a smoke-filled apartment after hours of protecting the child.
