
Ricardo Abrão
Ricardo Abrão, a Brazilian businessman and politician, recently assumed the vacant seat in the Chamber of Deputies, following the cassation of Chiquinho Brazão's mandate. A member of the UNIÃO party, he is the son of Farid Abrão David, a former mayor of Nilópolis and ex-president of the Beija-Flor samba school, and the nephew of the infamous bicheiro Anísio. Abrão has previously served as a state deputy and held the presidency of the Beija-Flor from 2017 to 2021. In the 2022 elections, he garnered over 43,000 votes, indicating a solid support base. His recent appointment marks his definitive return to the Chamber, having previously served as a substitute several times since 2023.
