Ricardo Andrés Destarac

Ricardo Andrés Destarac is the President of the National Coffee Association of Guatemala (Anacafé). Under his leadership, Anacafé has focused on promoting the quality of Guatemalan coffee, particularly from smallholder farmers, and capitalizing on the growing global demand for specialty coffee. Destarac has actively participated in international events such as the Coffee Fest in Madrid, aiming to connect local producers with foreign buyers. He advocates for the establishment of cooperatives among rural coffee producers to enhance their market access and to highlight the added value of community-based coffee production.
