Professor Richard A. Williams is the principal and vice-chancellor of Heriot-Watt University, where he has been a strong advocate for the values embodied by Sir Geoff Palmer. Following Palmer's passing, Williams announced the establishment of the Sir Geoff Palmer Memorial Scholarship to honor Palmer's legacy of education, justice, and inclusivity.
