Richard Løvehjerte
Richard Løvehjerte, born on September 8, 1157, was King of England from 1189 until his death in 1199. He is often remembered for his role in the Third Crusade and his efforts to reclaim Jerusalem from Saladin. A warrior king, he spent much of his reign outside of England, fighting in various battles across Europe. His bravery and leadership earned him the moniker 'Coeur de Lion' or 'Lionheart.' Richard's legacy is intertwined with the legend of Robin Hood, where he is depicted as a benevolent ruler who returns to reclaim his kingdom from the tyranny of his brother, Prince John. His life and exploits have inspired countless tales and have solidified his place in British folklore and history.
