Richard McCoy
Richard McCoy was a former military helicopter pilot known for a notorious airplane hijacking in 1972, where he demanded a ransom of $500,000 and parachuted from the plane, similar to the infamous DB Cooper case. After being captured two days later, he served a 45-year prison sentence but escaped in 1974, only to be killed by an FBI agent during a subsequent pursuit.
