Richard O’Neill

Richard O’Neill (1923-2009) was a Waterford-born artist known for his figurative and abstract works that gained recognition posthumously. His art was characterized by a neo-romantic quality in his early pieces and a psychologically-charged style in his later works. O’Neill's notable exhibitions included the Irish Exhibition of Living Art and he was a significant figure in the Irish art scene, also contributing to education as a lecturer in graphic design and interior design.
