Rita Bixby

Rita Bixby is the mother of Steven Bixby and a prominent figure in the sovereign citizen movement, which rejects governmental authority. She gained attention for her frequent legal battles against state entities, including unsuccessful lawsuits regarding property rights. Following the infamous 2003 standoff that claimed the lives of two police officers, Rita was also sentenced to life in prison for her role in the violent confrontation.
