Riza Khan
Riza Khan, later known as Reza Shah Pahlavi, was the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty in Iran, ruling from 1925 to 1941. He was a military officer who rose to prominence during World War I and subsequently established a modernizing regime that sought to centralize authority and reduce the influence of foreign powers. His reign was marked by significant social and economic reforms, including the promotion of secularism and modernization efforts in education and infrastructure. However, his authoritarian rule faced criticism for suppressing dissent and limiting political freedoms. He was forced to abdicate in 1941 as a result of Allied occupation during World War II.
