Roaldas Gadonas

Roaldas Gadonas was a renowned Lithuanian physicist, celebrated for his contributions to laser physics. Born on February 15, 1954, in Kupiškis, he studied at Vilnius University, where he later served as a professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Physics. His research focused on ultrafast laser spectroscopy and the dynamics of Frenkel excitons in molecular nanostructures. Gadonas published over 200 scientific papers and was instrumental in pioneering two-photon laser polymerization studies. He passed away on April 5, 2025, leaving a lasting impact on the scientific community.
