Born on August 30, 1943, he was a key player during the Celtics' dominant years in the 1980s, contributing to their three NBA championships in 1981, 1984, and 1986. Standing at 7 feet tall, Parish was known for his scoring ability, rebounding, and defensive skills, earning him the nickname 'The Chief.' Over his 21-year career, he became one of the league's all-time great centers, accumulating over 23,000 points and 14,000 rebounds. In addition to his success in the regular season, Parish was also a two-time NBA All-Star and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
