Roberto Cortés Ripalda is a 58-year-old Ecuadorian businessman and co-founder of Biscayne Capital, who was recently sentenced to ten years in prison for orchestrating a Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors of over $155 million. His fraudulent activities included lying to investors about the use of their funds, which he misappropriated for personal gain and to pay other investors, ultimately leading to significant financial losses for more than 110 victims.
