Roberto Gomensoro Josman

Roberto Gomensoro Josman was a member of the Uruguayan guerrilla group known as the Tupamaros. He was a victim of state terrorism during Uruguay's military dictatorship, and his disappearance and presumed murder are emblematic of the human rights violations that occurred during that period. The admission of his body’s disposal by José Gavazzo has brought attention to the unresolved cases of disappeared persons in Uruguay.
