Rock Newman is a former boxing promoter and manager, notably associated with heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe. He gained notoriety for his role in the chaotic aftermath of Bowe's 1996 fight against Andrzej Golota at Madison Square Garden, where a post-fight riot erupted, leading to arrests and injuries, and resulting in a substantial fine and suspension for Newman due to his involvement in inciting the brawl.
