Rod Woodson is a former professional American football player and Hall of Famer, widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive backs in NFL history. A standout at Purdue University, Woodson was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft. Over his 17-season career, he played for the Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Baltimore Ravens, and Oakland Raiders, earning 11 Pro Bowl selections and 6 First-Team All-Pro honors. Woodson was known for his exceptional speed, ball-hawking skills, and versatility, as he excelled both as a cornerback and a safety. He was a key member of the Ravens' Super Bowl XXXV-winning team and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009. After retiring, Woodson has remained active in football as a coach and analyst.
