Roland Christensen

Roland Christensen was a naval flight instructor who demonstrated exceptional moral courage by supporting Jesse Leroy Brown, the Navy's first Black pilot, during a time of racial prejudice in the military. His decision to take Brown under his wing not only helped him succeed in flight training but also forged a deep friendship that lasted until Brown's tragic death in the Korean War.
