Romana de Meneges

Romana de Meneges is a talented saxophonist born in the Netherlands to Surinamese parents. She has gained recognition for her unique blend of smooth jazz, old school R&B, and soul, infused with Afro and Surinamese influences to connect with her roots. De Meneges has enjoyed a successful career as a performing artist since 2016, touring extensively across Europe and beyond. In December 2024, she performed in Suriname, where she adapted to a different performance style, embracing the local culture and the beauty of imperfection in live shows. With aspirations to contribute to the development of music rights in Suriname, she aims to elevate the appreciation of local musicians while maintaining her passion for music. Having recently decided to pursue her career as an independent artist, she is focused on creating new music and ensuring that her artistic expression remains a genuine passion rather than just a profession.
