Romechia Simms

Romechia Simms is a woman who gained notoriety after a tragic incident in 2015, during which she was found pushing her three-year-old son, Ji’Aire Donnell Lee, in a swing for nearly 40 hours in extreme cold. Suffering from severe mental health issues, including paranoid schizophrenia, Simms was unable to care for her son, which led to Ji’Aire's death from dehydration and hypothermia. Her case raised significant concerns regarding the mental health support systems in place and the protection of children.
