Romolo Tranquilli

Romolo Tranquilli was the brother of the Italian writer and political activist Ignazio Silone. He became a victim of fascist repression in Italy, ultimately being killed in 1932 while imprisoned, where he endured severe torture. His tragic fate highlighted the brutal measures taken by the Mussolini regime against political dissidents and served as a catalyst for Silone's own political and literary activism.
