
Romualds Jermaks
Romualds Jermaks is an esteemed Latvian composer and music educator, known for his extensive body of work in sacred music, including masses, oratorios, and choral pieces. With a career spanning decades, he has composed around 20 concertos for various instruments and chamber orchestras. Jermaks often incorporates motifs from folk songs into his compositions, making him a significant figure in Latvian music. He celebrated his 94th birthday on June 10, and his notable work 'Rekviēms' will be performed alongside the orchestra Rīga at a concert honoring the memory of Latvian citizens exiled in 1941.
