Romulus Rusan
Romulus Rusan, born on March 13, 1935, in Alba Iulia, was a prominent Romanian figure dedicated to preserving the memory of the victims of communism. He played a significant role in the construction of the Memorial at Sighet and directed the Memorial of the Victims of Communism and the Resistance. Rusan was also an influential editor and mentor for numerous works documenting the resistance against communist oppression, and he was married to poet and writer Ana Blandiana.
