Rosalind E. Franklin
Rosalind Elsie Franklin was a British chemist and X-ray crystallographer whose work was critical to the understanding of the molecular structures of DNA, RNA, viruses, coal, and graphite. Her famous Photograph 51 was instrumental in the discovery of the DNA double helix by Watson and Crick, although she did not receive due recognition during her lifetime.
