Rosanna Deerchild

Rosanna Deerchild is a prominent Cree poet, writer, and radio personality, best known for hosting CBC’s Unreserved, a platform dedicated to amplifying Indigenous voices across Canada. Hailing from O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation in Manitoba, Deerchild has leveraged her extensive broadcasting career to tell Indigenous stories, including her own familial experiences, as seen in her recent play The Secret to Good Tea, which explores her relationship with her mother, a residential school survivor.
