Rosario Castillo

Rosario Castillo is an industrial engineer and educator who has bravely faced the challenges of hereditary amyloidosis. After experiencing unusual weakness and numbness in her limbs, she traveled to Colombia to obtain a diagnosis, having previously managed her life with relative normalcy despite a heart condition. Rosario’s journey reflects the struggles many patients face in accessing timely and effective treatment for rare diseases, as well as the emotional and physical toll such conditions can take.
