Rosario Muñoz

Rosario Muñoz is the president of the Confederación Nacional de Jubilados y Pensionistas de Montepío del Ecuador (CNJE), an organization advocating for the rights and welfare of retired individuals in Ecuador. Recently, she led efforts to address the inadequacy of pensions for many retirees, with most receiving between $225 and $450 monthly, which is insufficient to meet basic living expenses. Under her leadership, the CNJE has proposed several reforms to improve the financial security of pensioners and has called for a meeting with President Daniel Noboa to discuss these critical issues during a time of crisis for the Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social (IESS).
