Rostislav Panov is a software developer who was involved with the notorious ransomware group LockBit, which has conducted cyberattacks resulting in over half a billion dollars in damages. He was arrested in Israel on August 18, 2024, following a U.S. extradition request, where he admitted to writing and maintaining the group's malicious software.
