Rua Aranui-Maehe

Rua Aranui-Maehe is a 21-year-old security guard who was recently sentenced for assaulting his partner in Wellington. Following a violent incident in February 2022, he was convicted of assault with intent to injure and assault on a person in a family relationship. Despite his young age and previous good character, the court emphasized the seriousness of his actions, which included kicking and punching his partner. He has been placed under six months of supervision and ordered to engage in non-violence programs.
