Ruby Asilamnu, popularly known as Mawusi, is an experienced petty trader in Accra who has transitioned to selling nkate cake after struggling with other businesses. After recognizing the high demand for the snack, she initially bought it wholesale but found the profits discouraging. To improve her earnings, Mawusi learned to prepare nkate cake herself, which has allowed her to increase her profits and expand her trade to include pastries, all while ensuring fair pricing for retailers.
