Ruslan Filipaș

Ruslan Filipaș is a former candidate for the mayoralty of Tîrnova, a commune in the Dondușeni district of Moldova, who was recently convicted for attempting to corrupt voters by offering them money in exchange for their votes. He was a candidate from the 'Șansă' party but was disqualified from the elections after the first round due to allegations of electoral corruption. Despite evidence against him, including phone call intercepts and witness testimonies, Filipaș has denied his guilt, claiming that his disqualification was part of a conspiracy to remove him from the electoral race.
