Ruth Holzer

Ruth Holzer, born in 1937, was the granddaughter of the renowned toy baron Franz Carl Weber. She dedicated her life to preserving her grandfather's legacy, emphasizing the cultural significance of toys beyond mere childhood amusement. Ruth fondly recalled her childhood experiences in her grandfather's toy paradise, where she would play after hours. Throughout her life, she advocated for the Zürcher Spielzeugmuseum, a tribute to her family's contributions to the toy industry, and continued to inspire others with her passion for the history and artistry of toys until her recent passing at the age of 88.
